Turquoise lagoon and limestone cliffs around the resort beach in El Nido
El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
Private island resort

Rest slow. Live close to the sea.

Kalinaw means calm. On our quiet side of El Nido, you sleep in a private villa, eat food from our farm, and let the island set the pace.

Our story

A small resort with a simple idea

We opened Kalinaw with eight huts and one boat. Today we have 24 villas, but the idea is the same. Keep it small. Know every guest by name. Protect the reef that feeds us.

Most of our team grew up here. They will show you their island the way they know it, quiet coves in the morning and grilled fish at night.

Experiences

Days that feel like stories

Wooden banca boat anchored in a hidden lagoon

Island hopping

Our captain leaves before the crowds. Four lagoons, one secret beach, lunch on the boat.

Diver swimming over a coral reef full of fish

Reef diving

House reef ten meters from shore. Courses for first timers and guided dives for pros.

Long dinner table set on the sand with candles

Farm to table

We grow our vegetables and buy fish from the village. Dinner is whatever the day gave us.

We came for three nights and stayed for nine. No place has ever made leaving feel so hard.
